In Chinese Medicine: Clary Sage is unusually versatile: within this framework it can nourish Blood and Heart Yin, circulate the Qi and invigorate the Blood at the same time — restoring, relaxing and decongesting in a single oil. It suits chronic weak-tense presentations where Blood or Yin deficiency and Qi-Blood stagnation appear together. It is one of the oils described as able to either strengthen or calm the Shen as needed.

This clary sage smells so pretty and has a very calming effect. I use it in a carrier oil and/or a diffuser.
Very subtle but pleasant
