In Chinese Medicine: Acting like a strong lemony-green oil, Wintergreen is a cooling sedative associated with clearing heat, draining fire and eliminating damp. It is one of the principal oils for Blood heat arising from Liver fire or Liver damp-heat, and it strongly mobilises stuck Qi and Blood in the Heart and Lower Jiao.
Chinese Medicine functions adapted from Peter Holmes, L.Ac., M.H., Channeling Fragrance. The full profile — treatment patterns, acupoint combinations and synergist oils — is in the book.
