In Chinese Medicine: Laurel is a complex, multipurpose Qi tonic and mobiliser. Its rising, dispersing and circulating movements together tonify the Qi while moving stagnant Qi across all three Jiao, which suits presentations mixing weakness, cold and damp with stagnation. It is a good example of an oil that can support Defensive Qi at the exterior and chronic weakness in the interior at the same time.
Chinese Medicine functions adapted from Peter Holmes, L.Ac., M.H., Channeling Fragrance. The full profile — treatment patterns, acupoint combinations and synergist oils — is in the book.
