In Chinese Medicine: Lemongrass is a premier cooling, lemony-green oil, associated with acute patterns of full heat, constrained Qi, Blood heat and Shen agitation. It mobilises and regulates the Qi in the Upper and Middle Jiao organs especially. The lemony-green oils are the cooling, dispersing members of this category, distinguished from the sweet-green oils by their capacity to clear heat from any cause rather than heat arising from constraint alone.

Chinese Medicine functions adapted from Peter Holmes, L.Ac., M.H., Channeling Fragrance. The full profile — treatment patterns, acupoint combinations and synergist oils — is in the book.

For external use only. Properly dilute all essential oils in lotion or vegetable carrier oil before massage or other topical use. Keep out of reach of children.
