In Chinese Medicine: Lavender is a gentle but versatile cooling, sweet-green oil used to circulate Qi in the Middle and Upper Jiao. In the traditional framework it addresses constrained Qi that generates heat and tension, and it is equally at home in acute and chronic work — one reason it is such a common choice for children and for sensitive people. Like Bergamot it is a wide-ranging relaxant oil, but cooling and calming rather than warming.

I've tried other lavenders and this one is completely unique, almost refreshing and invigorating rather than relaxing like other lavenders I've tried. I still get the other types (French is great) but this was really cooling.
