In Chinese Medicine: Helichrysum is a versatile sweet, relaxant oil used for strongly diffusing constrained Qi and calming the Shen. Its action of circulating Qi and Blood spans an unusually wide range of tense patterns. It shows a marked tropism for the Upper Jiao, and is one of the few oils associated with stagnation of Heart Qi and Blood as well as with diffusing constrained Heart Qi itself. With an equally strong affinity for the Lungs, it is associated with patterns involving Lung Qi constraint, heat, phlegm and wind — and is unusual in being able to cool and moisten the Lungs, something a drying oil such as Blue-gum eucalyptus cannot do.
Chinese Medicine functions adapted from Peter Holmes, L.Ac., M.H., Channeling Fragrance. The full profile — treatment patterns, acupoint combinations and synergist oils — is in the book.

Sooooo sweet but in a strong light way, not in a diluted light way, if that makes any sense. Makes me think of pure sugarcane and chrysanthemum juice. It calms my mind.
