One of the advantages of treating points with essential oils is their combined ability to exert a positive impact on the client's Shen or spirit. This level 2 course is designed especially to increase your ability to understand – and treat with essential oils – the various specific types of current disturbances affecting psyche, mind and emotions. It aims to greatly expand your treatment repertoire and diagnostic skills. More, you will discover a new dimension to this treatment modality that will exponentially enhance your relationship to the essential oils in particular and to the power of energetic medicine in general.
• First discuss the basic, general Chinese medicine framework of Shen agitation (shen ji dong), Shen weakness (shen xu ruo), and Shen dysregulation (shen shi tiao), and present the general treatment principles with essential oils and points.
• Next explore the variations on each Shen disturbance in terms of dysfunctions of hormones and neurotransmitters, such as serotonin, endorphins and catecholamines. We will discuss and practice treatment sequences specific to each type of neuropsychological pattern.
• Diagnose and treat clients with complex conditions in terms of the Six-Condition diagnostic conclusion. We will analyze and treat common Six-Condition patterns, including Weak-Cold-Tense, Tense-Hot-Damp and Tense-Hot-Weak, noting the typical medical disorders that patients have often been diagnosed with.
• Dismantle through powerful group discussion the Complicated Case History involving a confusing mix of physical and emotional symptoms.
• Introduce other highly effective hands-on treatment techniques with essential oils, designed specifically for severe conditions and for situations where, after several initial treatments, little or no improvement is achieved.
• Explore the spirit nature of certain essential oils, allowing them to release more of their potential and allowing us to facilitate integral healing.
• Learn when and how to tailor the treatment to your client’s specific condition by modifying treatment sequences with other oil-point combinations.
