In this seminar we will explore ...

•  In-depth clinical portraits of more than 20 different essential oils from different categories

•  The energetic properties of the oils on Qi and Shen, based on their fragrance energy, coursing movement, warmth effect, etc.

•  Connecting the oils' properties with its tropism for particular channels and points

•  How to differentiate similar oils by their mental-emotional indications to make oil selection highly accurate

•  The principle of oil-to-point resonance and its practical applications

•  Selecting oils based on the clinically valuable Six-Condition Assessment on a new client

•  Oils and points for treating the common pattern of Qi dysregulation + Shen disharmony – a Tense-Weak condition

•  Those oils suitable for olfaction by gentle inhalation for a more targeted psychological effect

Greatly expand your repertoire with essential oils!

Like acupuncture points, essential oils need to become as familiar as good friends, and able to help us when we need them in treatment.  This seminar will focus on individual oils and their various properties on Qi, Blood and – most importantly – on Shen.  Getting to know each oil in depth will enhance your treatments, providing many more options ranging from physical symptoms through to mental, emotional and soul disturbances.

At the same time, many years of experience and teaching have shown that a strong affinity of some oils on certain acupuncture points exists.  As practitioners we need to gain an experienced sense of the good, complementary energetic resonance that can exist between certain oils and points.  Important here is becoming attuned to the information arising from the changes experienced during treatment – changes in your patient, in yourself, and in the healing space around you.  This means developing sensitivity – in your fingers, in listening, in observing.

In this seminar we will review the most effective oil application and treatment techniques onto points.  Some of the oils discussed in depth will be: Blue tansy, Lavender, Neroli, Atlas cedarwood, Myrrh, Pimenta berry, Green myrtle, Sandalwood and Silver fir.  In addition to possessing particular point affinities, some oils can provide additional psycho-emotional benefits when given the patient by gentle inhalation; specific simple olfaction techniques will be presented.

What past students have said ...

"The seminar opened up an entirely new understanding of the energy of not only the acupuncture points that were utilized but also the depth at which we can access their functions when combining them with the energy of essential oils. I have been familiar with the clinical as well as the personal use of aromatherapy for over 25 years and yet I felt I learned so much more about our green friends/helpers."
    — Muin Daly LAc

"The clarity and organization of the Aroma Acupoint teaching is profound and humbling. The wealth of information that was shared and practiced in just two days is phenomenal, and I’m coming away with highly relevant clinical information that I can take into my practice right away. The teaching is beautifully distilled, clear and exciting! Most sincere thanks for a truly amazing workshop."
     — Ellen Ellis LAc

"This was one of the very best seminars that I’ve experienced. It both enhanced my current understanding of TCM patterns and diagnosis, and expanded these horizons into an entirely new and invigorating perspective. Thank you for blazing these trails!"
    — Bruce Gustafson LAc

"Adding AAT to my practice has made my treatments more effective and long lasting. I have witnessed quicker and more significant changes with symptoms and patterns and I have seen improvement with cases that had hit a plateau in terms of progress. AAT has helped to increase my confidence as a practitioner and has helped many of my patients experience significant shifts in their patterns. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and creating a system of using essential oils that fits into the TCM scope and practice seamlessly."
    — Emily Andrews LAc

"This was the best seminar I have ever attended. You reminded me why we all practice this medicine ... the magic, the science, the purpose, the connection to nature and spirit, and the power of plant medicine."
    — Elisa Angelone LAc
