In Chinese Medicine: Roman Camomile is a potent cooling, sweet-green oil used to circulate the Qi, calm the Shen and sink rising Yang energy. As a polycrest relaxant oil it is associated with constrained Qi and nerve tension in the Middle and Lower Jiao in particular. Its sinking course of movement is what distinguishes this group from the purely circulating sweet-green oils.
Chinese Medicine functions adapted from Peter Holmes, L.Ac., M.H., Channeling Fragrance. The full profile — treatment patterns, acupoint combinations and synergist oils — is in the book.
