Because so many patients present a mix of chronic physiological and emotional issues, we clearly need something more for our practice. In addition, many patients are afraid or intolerant of needles, or simply too young or deficient to even tolerate them. Essential oils are proving highly effective in these cases for creating profound and lasting shifts in treatment outcome – when used skillfully, mindfully and safely. This information-packed seminar will explore the various ways that genuine essential oils can be incorporated in a professional practice to better serve our patients' needs.
Essential oils can bring a powerful new dimension to any type of hands-on practice, whether in acupuncture, craniosacral and most forms of body work. The key to using them successfully is knowing their properties based on four types of use, whether treating syndromes or disorders, relieving symptoms or evoking their inner or spirit nature.
Like acupoints and reflex zones, essential oils are electromagnetic by nature and are governed by the laws of qi flow. Whether used by inhalation or directly onto points or body zones, they deeply modulate jing shen or neuroendocrine functions through neuropeptide activation. Oils can thereby trigger profound energetic changes in the individual, which can be monitored by often immediate changes in the pulse, complexion, breathing, etc. They do this without creating any additional burden to the digestive system. They represent a perfect complement to acupuncture and body work in general that is safe, user-friendly and extremely effective.
