Note: Ravintsara oil should be distinguished from Havozo oil, distilled from Ravensara aromatica, which is now unfortunately an endangered species in Madagascar.

Psychological function: Ravintsara uplifts, stimulates energy and mental clarity, thereby useful for states of low motivation, loss of morale and the like, as well as mental fatigue and nervous exhaustion. Ravintsara can also boost self-confidence and self-assertion where needed.
Topical use: In dilution, use for acute congestive conditions in the nasal and chest areas. This oil may also help balance oily, congested skin and scalp.
