Detoxification
As a Treatment Strategy:
The
treatment of specific types of toxicity conditions with herbs, points,
essential oils and nutrition
Toxicosis,
or the pathogenic accumulation of toxins, acts as an invisible yet potent
stressor to body-mind balance both physically and energetically. It
has become a major component of today's most challenging disease conditions,
including allergies of all types, chronic infections, autoimmune disorders,
immunodeficient viral conditions, depository and cancerous conditions,
and chronic inflammatory conditions such as fibromyalgia. Although the
concept of detoxification or cleansing has a long history in the West,
it currently needs reevaluation to target the specific and potentially
life-threatening types of toxins seen today.These
divide into exogenous and endogenous types, and include chemicals, heavy
metals, microbes and metabolic toxins.
Each type of toxicosis will be divided into specific preclinical disease
conditions and differentiated according to Chinese medicine energetics
and organ syndromes. Finally, for each condition we will explore the
many treatment methods available, which boil down to transformation
and/or elimination. Here we will explore the use of botanical remedies,
essential oils, nutrients as well as more specialized supplements and
procedures.
