Topical use: In dilution, like all the fir oils Siberian fir is helpful with muscle aches and pains, including from overexertion, muscle cramps, sprains and such like. In liniments for chest and upper back rubs, as well as through direct inhalation methods, Siberian fir is traditionally used for a variety of congestive and spasmodic respiratory conditions, including coughing, chest distension and breathing difficulty.
